Gymini beat Tom Wellington & Joey Ryan

Congrats to Joey Ryan. It'll be cool to see the PWG champ on world wide TV!

Yeah...It was a decent little match...The 619 Crowd was dead though...Tried to start a " Joey, Joey" Chant as well as a "Jo-ey Ry-an" Chant...But the crowd was oblivious to anything not having to do with Rey Mysterio...

Joey was also at RAW and was supposed to be a "Security Guard" with Funky Billy Kim but the segment was cancelled

Lol.
It's nice to see Joey get some TV time. Hopefully it isn't a complete jobber match. :(

:? It was a complete and utter SQUASH! Ryan and his partner did not hit ONE single offensive move!

I don't get WWE's logic in trying to get Gymeni over the way they are doing it. "Hey let's take these two big guys with no talent and put them in the ring with guys who they outweigh by over a hundred pounds." "And to make it even sweeter let's get two guys nobody has ever heard of." That's how you get them over. Not knocking Joey, but the majority of the wrestling audience won't know who the hell Joey Ryan or... the other guy is. Of course they call it a try-out match.

Then again pretty much everything WWE does confuses me.

Yeah how in the hell can anyone call that a decent little match. Joey got killed by 2 guys who absolutely suck. It was good to see him on tv although I think Tazz called him Joey Ryans a few times.

Well, at least I wasn't the only one who noticed that. But yeah, it was kinda cool seeing our champ on TV, just too bad it had to be in a complete squash match.

Here's a pic taken off of wwe.com from the match for anyone who cares to see it.

At least Joey got to take pretty much all of the beating, which is a good thing when you think about it. Shame they didn't get any offense AT ALL in, that was a bit extreme.

I can't believe how long the 'match' ran too. Sooooo boring. Must have been almost a full 10 minutes of squashing. Crap squashing at that too.

Ummm, ok? That's like such a retarded comment. Besides, Smackdown is probably the best free TV wrestling show from any promotion in the world right now. The fact that guys like Fit Finlay are getting pushes and giving him a chance to help guys like the super green workers like Lashley improve in the ring. But hey, fuck that. It's WWE and WWE is stupid and Vince McMahon is a jerkface. Boo WWE.

I don't get WWE's logic in trying to get Gymeni over the way they are doing it. "Hey let's take these two big guys with no talent and put them in the ring with guys who they outweigh by over a hundred pounds." "And to make it even sweeter let's get two guys nobody has ever heard of."

The logic is that casual fans will see these guys as big time badasses who can destroy wrestlers and by getting people like Joey it would be better as it doesn't ruin any members of the current roster in the long run. The method of having two unknowns get destroyed by newer talent has been around for the longest time, so it's not really WWE logic, it's tradition.

I can't believe people are bitching about this. It was just a short match that was supposed to put two people over, not a five star classic. It was great to see Joey get a chance to be on TV in front of millions of people worldwide. He did what he was supposed to do, and in my mind it wasn't that bad at all.

And Fit Finlay is awesome, hopefully Joey gets squashed by him in the future.
