TOP MOMENTS IN PWG HISTORY

Postby luca brasi » Fri Nov 11, 2011 10:43 pm

Although I have not watched it, I was trhinking about the recent WWE DVD release OMG TOP 50 WWE MOMENTS...it got me thinking... what would the board dwellers feel are the Greatest Moments in PWG History? It could be an encounter, a move, a match, a show, a feud, a apromo, etc... stuff like, obviously:

*RETURN OF SUPER DRAGON 10/11
*RETURN OF COLT CABANA
*CHRIS HERO / HUMAN TORNADO / CANDACE LARAE feud
*SUPER DRAGON / KEVIN STEEN feud
*YOUNG BUCKS TITLE REIGN
*SUPER DRAGON / DAVEY RICHARDS TITLE REIGN
*JOEY RYAN'S TITLE REIGN
*NECRO BUTCHER IS JOEY RYAN'S SURPRISE OPPONENT
*CHRIS BOSH WINS 1ST B.O.L.A.

I'll leave some for people to come up with...

*SUPER DRAGON/SAMOA JOE TRILOGY
*ARROGANCE/X-FOUNDATION BEAT DOWN & UNMASKING OF SCORPIO SKY
*KNOX'S CLOTHESLINE OF KENNY OMEGA
*REV PRO ORIGINALS VS. PWG SIX feud
*PEARCE/KAZARIAN FEUD

I think another of my favorite PWG matches would qualify as well:
1st ever PWG Championship match/ title defense: Champion Frankie Kazarian defended in a three way against Chris Daniels and A.J. Styles, "Are YOu Adequately Prepared To Rock?", 2003

- The infamous Castagnoli/Danielson headlock match.
- The Scott Lost/Scorpio Sky feud
- Brandon Bonham destroying Nigel McGuiness's face.
- The Joey Ryan/Super Dragon feud
- The formation of The Dynasty (even though I personally found it a bit lackluster and underwhelming.)

Guerrilla Warfare 1
Hardkore Kidd's cuss jar
Adam Pearce vs Streamers
El Generico vs Kevin Steen @ Uncanny X-Mas, if I remember correctly this wasn't originally scheduled. Steen and Generico were booked as a tag team but their opponents didn't make it to the show so we got this. This was also their debut in PWG.
Joey Ryan kicking SoCal Val out of PWG
"Hey Joe, I thought this was supposed to be a musical?!"

*Hero vs. Ki with no bottom ropes (I think? Someone clarify please!)
*Low Ki kicking Hero's face open
*Hero & Kingston shooting on each other after their match
*Sweeney's appearance
*Tard Boy interview
*Rick Knox shoot interview
*Pearce/Slymm/Kazarian Vegas shenanigans

wow, ok, here is the tard boy story, anyone else chime in if I am wrong or miss anything.
Go back and watch early PWG shows... there is a particular fan, who always sat alone at the shows... he was a little "special" apparently. Because he was fairly vocal, and loved PWG, he became the object of Chris Bosh's ire. There were many verbal confrontations... if you watch the Bosh highlight video someone recently posted, he is the guy who Bosh rubs his bare ass up against.
Anyway, on one of the DVDs, there is a specisal feature of Bosh (Lost too I think) interviewing this fan backstage... Tard Boy was never seen again, apparent;ly too embarassed to show his face at a PWG show again.
