Arrogance's Tag Titles

Postby talley_1986 » Mon Feb 14, 2011 1:50 am

I've been watching a lot of late 2004/early 2005 lately. Obviously, one of the best things going at the time was Arrogance's first tag title reign. However, early on, their titles went missing. Later, it'd be said that Top Gun Talwar stole the titles so he could melt them down and inject into his ass. Bravo. However, there was a long period where Arrogance didn't have the belts.

Is there a real reason for why PWG didn't have the tag belts?

Quick answer: The owner of the original title belts (the ones that said Rockford Wrestling Council on them) sold them on EBAY.

So that was a legit thing? That sounded too wacky of an idea to be anything other than a work.

Who was the original owner?

Former PWG manager Vanderpyle owned them. It seemed like a big mess at the time, but I think everything worked out for the best with the belts.

I'm guessing the falling out between Vanderpyle and PWG is also why the First Family died off a couple of shows after it got started?

VanderPyle was attached to Adam Pearce. When Pearce left the company, so did VanderPyle.
They were nice belts, I remember that, There used to be a lot of discussion as to why they said RWC on them. I think it came out Rockford Wrestling Council was some made up fed for a movie or something, and they had real belts made. I wonder who won the bid and has them now. History I tell you!
