Question regarding live shows.

Postby chompbaby » Sat Apr 15, 2006 8:20 pm

Recently I've been getting more and more into indy wrestling, and have heard some awesome stuff about PWG and I am a big fan of some of their wrestlers. How would I go about getting tickets for the May 6th show? I've been looking around the site and have not been able to find anything. Also, around how much will this show cost?

Thanks in advance brothers.

PWG tickets are always available at the door. The ticket price is $20 (which is well worth it for what you get with PWG)

The show on the 6th is shaping up to be All Star Weekend 3, The Encore. I really don't see a bad match on the card, and that eight-man tag looks INSANE.

The La Habra venue is real nice too. Although I will miss hitting up the local liquor store and thai karaoke spot and the chess tournaments at the donut shop.

I think the La Habra Heights is a one-time gig, seeing that JCC is booked for something else that night (or from what I've gathered with my smark investigating).

4 Hours of entertaining wrestling, Characters who do stand out, and some funny promos=a good time.

Isn't the Gym like bigger, I wonder if there will be Guard Rails

Well if you're looking on the site, the address is on the bottom

then look it up on Mapquest or Yahoo maps

Guardrails are doubtful. The last time they were used was out of fear that the cage would break and fall on the crowd. And yes, the Gym in the Park is much bigger, so you'll have leg room in the aisles.

The only downside is that Mama Talwar won't be there since Topgun won't be there. And there's no place within walking distance that has food. Unless PWG decides to do some concessions at last minute then everyone will have to bring their own food or go eat afterwords.

Ahhhh! Food. That's my only concern at the moment.

The few times I've been there, it didn't seem that much bigger than the JCC. It might of seemed bigger at WAR shows, as their ring was smaller and they didn't draw that many people. It's nice though, but it's too far from my house and there's nothing to eat around there for atleast a mile. Plus I remember parking being shitty, and no places near to park. While the JCC parking lot sucks, it's easier to find a parking spot there. I'm glad that this is a one time only thing. La Habra is fucking gay, and there aren't any liquor stores with porn DVDs around there.

Mama Talwar is Topgun Talwar's mother and for the past several months she has been selling concessions to the fans. Chips, soda, candy, nachos, hotdogs, etc...

And the La Habra gym is much bigger than the JCC gym. The JCC gym is just big enough to fit a basketball court where as the La Habra gym is big enough to do that, and then some. It's much more open, and it won't be as cramped.

Dude, everyone should head to Brea's Best for burgers after/before the show. Trust me.

The Gym in La habra is Huge (at the WAR show) but considering its a PWG Event it may seem a bit tight and hopefully they'll use the house lighting for this event.
Before the event, you should try the "TOP HAT Restaurant" in Brea. (Subs,Burgers,Sandwiches,shakes,etc...) Really Great Stuff.

I think we should just turn this thread into one for restaurant suggestions. Seriously. What else is good in that area?

Hacienda has a bunch of restaurants and stuff. I used to work at a Pizza place right on the corner of Hacienda and Gale called Tony's Pizza and Pasta. Good pizza and other types of Italian cuisines. I wonder if I still get my 30% discount. There's Jack in the Box and Del Taco right next to it as well. There's also the Puente Hills mall if you go East of Hacienda but that's too far.... Yeah everything's too far.

Best thing to do is probably head out a bit early and get food before hitting up PWG.

I think I'm gonna check out the restaurants on Imperial before I head over.
