Help lift the ban on MMA in New York!

I just found this on a site and instantly signed it. Its a petition for NY to allow MMA shows. Being a New Yorker myself, I feel very strongly about this. I would LOVE to be able to watch MMA shows live at Madison Square Garden. Its always been a dream of mines to see a live Chuck Liddel fight, but its too late for that now. =[ If you guys could just take a second to sign this, we'll be that much closer to getting this ban lifted. Come on, do it for the kids! lol.

I'm really surprised that MMA is banned in NY considering the rich history of wrestling and boxing in the state. I guess it's just an outdated measure from the days of when politicians were rallying against the then no-holds barred UFC style. I hope to see the ban uplifted one day. I signed it earlier today.
