oh man I've been very fortunate to meet some great...and they were all very cool to me...talked for a long time and no ego tripping. the coolest people were:
Mick Foley (several times)
Terry Funk (several times)
Ric Flair
Ricky Steamboat
Dr. Death Steve Williams (totally cool guy!)
Vampiro
Norman Smiley
Sandman
New Jack
Tommy Dreamer
Raven (several times...he's always been nice to me but you gotta know how to talk to him)
Bam Bam Bigelow (one of the nicest guys ever....I even smoked weed with him at a 3pw show...RIP)
Jushin Liger (also very cool and even knows some English!)

Only 2 Wrestlers left bad impressions on me:
Chris Candido could've been nicer to a friend of mine was was/is a huge mark for him...but he was also high/drunk at the time so that was probably it.
CM Punk is probably the hugest asshole I've ever seen...I've never cared to say anything to him but I've seen him be a complete dickhead to people a million times

I met Ric Flair at the Nitro Grill in Vegas the night before Halloween Havoc. I also met Elizabeth, Kanyon, Booket T, and a few others, but the good story was Flair. He was drunk off his ass, and I asked him if I could take a picture with him. He looked me dead in the face, and said,"I ain't got time for any fucking pictures, fatboy!"

I'd have been pissed if any other wrestler did it, but I just figured I was promoed on by the greatest heel of all time.

yeah meeting Liger was amazing...he's about 3ft tall but wide as a house...and Terry Funk is a helluva great guy...New Jack is crazy in a friendly funny way...he makes racial jokes and hits on every girl around  CM Punk is just a pompous arrogant asshole...he acted like he had 30 years in the business and no time for the ROH fans.

It's not just wrestlers...

It's some people in general who think that they are superior to others for whatever reason(s).

Punk was dickhead to me when I met him, I posted this on another forum right after it happened:

Have you guys ever met a wrestler that you hated before but after meeting him, you began to like him. Or vice versa, a wrestler you loved but once you met him he was a dick and you really couldnt look at him the same from that moment on. Unfortuntley the latter happened to me when I met CM Punk this past weekend. Now given I've been a huge Punk fan for 3 years and watch all his stuff from ROH and lots from IWAMS before now where hes in WWE. So I see him on Friday after the ROH showand ask him for an autograph and a picture. He told me "Sure in a minute" So i thought cool, but after an hour of wating I look behind me to see where he was and he was gone. Now Im not saying he 007 his way by but he made sure that I wouldnt see him leave. After walking downstairs the resturant I see him at a table and asked him again if he could sign my belt. He looked at me like he didnt want to do it and was fumbling his words. Rocky Romero told him "Come on Punk the kid wants you to sign it" which I responded "You dont have to sign my belt Punk" to which he responded " I know I dont" in a very rude way. Finally he saw Harley Race's name and decided to sign it. I said thanks but him signing it all seemed kinda force to me. Now I took into consderation that A) he might be having a bad day B) he was trying to act tough around Maria C) maybe I rubbed him the wrong way but it just really made me sour. I still like Punk and rooted for him at mania and cheered for him on ECW on SCFI but I just cant look at him the same way when he was such an ass to me. Anybody have any stories where a wrestler impressed them to the point that you began to like him or a story like mine?

Can you guys not think hes human? Hes in WWE and meets 100's of people daily, he probably had his mind elsewhere and just forgot about the fact that you asked for a autograph. After that you went to where he was chilling out with his friends and bothered him.

Idk maybe its because i respect people and don't go out of my way to get a autograph but i feel even though they are famous i respect them as people. I would never walk up to someone during his dinner, or when he is hanging out with his friends to bother him. But it hes at a merch table its a fair game.

You mentioned Punk being in the WWE and with Rocky Romero. Was this when Punk made that one time appearance for ROH?

nah I doubt Punk was having a bad day...I went to almost every ROH show in 2004 and saw him outside every time...I was never a fan of his so I never said anything to him but he was a huge asshole to kids EVERY time I saw him that year.

I met him once, he was very polite and introduced himself. At the moment I didn't recognize who he was.

For every negative story I've heard about someone meeting a wrestler or another celebrity, I've heard just as many positives.

Chris Masters... seemed like a dick at a UPW show a few years ago & I even heard a story of him being a dick to someone else years before that, but I have heard nothing but nice things about him since then.

It's possible that some people change, it's possible that you might always catch someone at the wrong time. Who knows; he could just be a moody person the majority of the time. The point is, don't fret too much if someone treats you like shit because there will always be somebody he does.
