WINNING Predictions

Postby Meltman » Wed Mar 09, 2011 10:47 am

Pro Wrestling Guerrilla World Championship Title Match
Claudio Castagnoli (Champion) vs. Joey Ryan (Challenger)

Prediction - Claudio retains. Way too many matches for Claudio to still have (Claudio/Davey, Claudio/Steen, Claudio/Low Ki).

Pro Wrestling Guerrilla World Tag Team Championship Title Match
El Generico & Ricochet (for Paul London - Champions) vs. The Young Bucks (Matt & Nick Jackson - Challengers)

Prediction - Generico & Ricochet win, Generico retains. I don't expect The Bucks to win just because London isn't there. The next champions have to be The Cutlers or RockNES.

Singles Match
Low Ki vs. Roderick Strong

Prediction - Low Ki wins. Strong is ROH Champion but KOW have lost in PWG and they're ROH Tag Champs, so maybe he can lose clean. It's obvious PWG is booking Ki around wrestlers he's familiar with right now. Ki/Generico next? Ki/Hero?

Tag Team Match
RockNES Monsters (Johnny Goodtime & Johnny Yuma) vs. "Mr. Wrestling" Kevin Steen & Akira Tozawa

Prediction - RockNES win in an upset. Steen/Tozawa are already credible by their own merit. Winning this would boost RockNES to title contention instantly. This is the match I'm most looking forward to.

Singles Match
Willie Mack vs. Brian Cage-Taylor

Prediction - Mack wins.

Singles Match
"Pretty" Peter Avalon vs. Ryan Taylor

Prediction - Taylor wins. I really think they should push Taylor more as a singles.

Singles Match
Candice LeRae vs. Portia Perez

Prediction - Candice wins. Looking forward to this also.

Another thing I thought up:

What is Ricochet turned on Generico to help The Bucks win? He can play heel for sure and it would be a ridiculous swerve. Plus Bucks as x2 champs!

Claudio wins. Joey as champ would just not draw in casual fans.

Young Bucks win, leading to a feud with London/Ricochet and El Generico tries to play the voice of reason. Cutlers go on to take the titles from the Bucks.

Ki goes over Strong and faces Claudio at the next show.

RockNES beats Steen and Akira. Steen and Akira are singles stars. No point in having them bury a legit tag team like the RockNES Monsters.

Willie Mack over Cage-Taylor.

If Avalon beats R Taylor, I will be a frustrated man. Hopefully Taylor can get a much deserved win in this match.

LeRae over Perez.

These are my pick'ems for this event that I did on another board. The only one I'm iffy on is Portia winning, but that's just because she's new to the company.
