Matches you want on PWG Sells Out III

Postby kevfalcon07 » Tue Mar 23, 2010 9:30 pm

I have one in mind already, maybe my favorite PWG match of the year in 2009, The Young Bucks vs. Kevin Steen & El Generico from Battle Of Los Angeles, Night 2.

What do you guys want to see if PWG makes a third best of collection?

I'm pretty bored at the moment, so here is a long list with reasons and what not:

Samoa Joe Vs. CM Punk - An Inch Longer Than Average - Decent match, but more of a "Hey look! It's these guys!" type addition. Which is a type of match I must commend PWG for avoiding with these compilations so far.

Kuishinbo Kamen Vs. Ebessan - 88 Miles Per Hour - Good comedy match from two of the best.

AJ Styles Vs. Rocky Romero - Reason For The Season - This would fit in quite well on one of these comps.

Samoa Joe Vs. Super Dragon - Secret Of The Ooze - One of my favorite PWG matches from 2004. Single handedly saved that show from the CM Punk Vs. Donovan Morgan stinker.

AJ Styles Vs. Super Dragon - ASW1:N2: Mentioned above already.

AJ Styles Vs. Christopher Daniels - Jason Takes PWG... Just kidding, I hated this match. Actually the only PWG match I have never watched on DVD.

AJ Styles Vs Christopher Daniels Vs James Gibson - 2YA - It is a "name value" match, but a decent one.

Scott Lost Vs. Scorpio Sky "I-Quit Match" - Chanukah Chaos - Often forgotten, but quite an entertaining feud settler.

Jack Evans/Roderick Strong Vs El Generico/Human Tornado - Astonishing X-Mas - Super entertaining match, that would probably be better remembered if not for the mishap at the end.

Super Dragon/Davey Richards Vs Cape Fear - European Vacation 1: Germany : These teams always worked so well together.

Alex Shelley Vs Chris Sabin - Hollywood Globetrotters - Yet another name value type match.

Super Dragon/Davey Richards Vs. AJ Styles/Christopher Daniels - Beyond The Thunderdome - Very surprised this hasn't been on a comp yet.

Human Tornado Vs. Colt Cabana - Please Don't call it the OC - I may be alone with this suggestion, but it is a good comedy match that would make for a nice change of pace from all the long matches these comps usually include.

The Briscoe Brothers Vs. Cape Fear - Enchantment Under The Sea - Heck of a showcase for the Briscoes.

The Dynasty Vs Steen/Davey/Tornado - Threemendous - Super heated 6-man.

Arrogance Vs. The Briscoe Brothers Vs B-Boy/Homicide - BOLA 06 N2 - Another very entertaining (and violent) match.

Scorpio Sky Vs Frankie Kazarian - Based On A True Story - Big dramatic blow off to a good feud.

Roderick Strong Vs Rocky Romero - ASW5N1 - Amazingly brutal match. My favorite in their series.

Candice LeRae Vs Human Tornado - ASW6N2 - This match came off very well. I'm not at all surprised that Human Tornado ranks this as one of his favorites in his career.

The Young Bucks Vs Sky/Ronin Vs Los Luchas Vs TJ/Hook - 1.21 Gigawatts - Something like this probably wouldn't make the cut, but it is a fun 4-way.

Dynasty/TJ/Hook Vs. 2.0/Sky/Candice - DDT4 08 N2 - I fucking love this match.

3-Way Tag from Life During Wartime - Probably one of the most entertaining PWG tags ever.

Chris Hero Vs. PAC - ASW7 N2 - It wouldn't be a Sells Out comp without PAC.

Low-Ki Vs. Masato Yoshino - BOLA 08 N2: Quick but entertaining match. Decent way to get Low-Ki on the comp.

Paul London/Young Bucks Vs. The Dynasty International - Express Written Consent - This should be a lock for the next comp. Great match in front of the largest and hottest PWG crowd at that point.

Young Bucks Vs. MCMGs - 99 - TNA will have ran this match into the ground four times over by the time PWG Sells Out 3 would be released, but it is a worthy addition nevertheless.

Bryan Danielson Vs. Kenny Omega - 100 - I thought this match was perfectly done. Hilarious...

The Young Bucks Vs. Kenny Omega/Chuck Taylor - DDT4 09 - One of the more exciting PWG matches in recent memory. Those near falls are insane.

Brandon Gatson/LTP/Goodtime Vs. Cutlers/Mercury - Threemendous II - Great showcase of a lot of the new faces in PWG.

El Generico Vs. Chuck Taylor - Reseda Street Fight - Speed Of Sound - I actually thought to myself while watching this: "This would be great on a PWG: Sells Out DVD".

El Generico Vs. SHINGO - Guerre Sans Fronti

Some of TigerDriver's suggestions are totally awesome.

Here's some matches I'd like to see on a Sells Out III:

- Age of the Fall vs. Motor City Machine Guns (All Star Weekend IV - Night 1)
- Super Dragon vs. Quicksilver (Zombies Shouldn't Run)
- El Generico vs. Nigel McGuiness (2007 Battle of Los Angeles - Night 3)
- Jack Evans vs. Human Tornado (Scared Straight)
- El Generico & Kevin Steen vs. Scott Lost & Joey Ryan (1.21 Gigawatts)
- Kikutaro vs. Necro Butcher (Life during Wartime)
- El Generico vs. Kenny Omega (Express Written Consent)
- Hybrid Dolphins vs. Motor City Machine Guns (DDT4)
- Brandon Cutler vs. Brandon Gatson vs. Johnny Goodtime vs. Malachi Jackson (Against the Grain)

Will add more later.

A couple more:

Bryan Danielson Vs. El Generico - European Vacation II - Germany - A very good rematch from Giant Sized Annual #4 on an otherwise forgettable show that not a lot of people probably saw. Shame they never had a rematch on a US PWG show.

The Briscoe Brothers Vs. Super Dragon/B-Boy - Are You Adequately Prepared To Rock?! - PWG's first great tag match.

It would definitely be a good idea to put matches from lesser-brought shows on a new compilation. Like "Gift and Curse" is good but the highlight is Joey vs. Super Dragon without a doubt. But maybe someone wouldn't but a DVD just for that. On the contrary they put Hero vs. Tornado from Wartime on Volume II but it didn't need to be there because that show is awesome on its own.
